Summon Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Summon is an entity, which carries the stench of Death! We emerged in the late 2016 with the infinite thirst for mass slaughter converting mankind into a cloak of bones.

2.So far you have released an ep and also have your first full length coming out in April, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on both of the recordings and also how do they differ from each other?

All in all, we always record the same way, and  resorting for some cult places to record the vocals, like in the both releases so far, the vocals were recorded in a necropolis. We take care of every bit of recording and productions, somehow they could sound different, only for the fact that we want it like that, nothing more nothing less.

3.You refer to your music as 'obscure death metal', can you tell us a little bit more about that term?

We are bringers of obscurity, who chant the hymns of Death.

4.Your lyrics have a death, necromantic and occult theme to them, can you tell us a little bit more about the song writing?

The lyrics are about Death, verses in the dead language. They are hymns of mass slaughter...thus shall ye perish at Death's realm.

5.Why did you pick the name 'Summon' and also are you also aware of the other bands that have used the same name in the past?

It would be reasonable to answer if you make the same question to thousands of bands, and at least few of them give you the same and proper answer.
We are aware of the decision, and it came out simply for what we do.

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork of the new album?

The artwork was created by N.
For this release was the only one that could do it, and would not be easy to describe the whole concept of Parazv Il Zilittv to someone recreate it in the album cover.

7.In all of the pictures I have seen of the band members so far you have been covered in masks, how does this concept fit in with the musical style that you play?

We are the embodiment of Death.

8.You also have your first stage performance in April of this year, what should we expect from your life performance?

Actually the concert is in June at Masmorra Fest. We are close to the festival organizer, and we accept immediately the invitation. In every concert, we scorch all expectations with the stench of Death.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black, doom and death metal?

Relatively larger than we could expect, although is not our goal! We are here to spread the stench of Death and submit mankind to perennial agony.

9.Both of your releases have been released through'Iron Bonehead Productions', how did you get in contact with this label?

There was interest from both sides, and the pact was sealed. Iron Bonehead has all our respect, and we hope to honor our covenant.

10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Planning concerts abroad, and as soon as there is availability to start new recordings, something that will be announced in due time.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

It will always be a dubious response, if we say that we are not influenced by any band ... about genres and sub-genres there is nothing concrete, any of the members of Summon has his musical taste and it hardly would be adjustable to what we record!

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Thanks for the interview. Check our album with release date 20th April through Iron Bonehead on CD and LP.
Death is our guide, and we are his scythe!
