Hellish are a band from Chile that plays a blackened form of thrash metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "The Spectre Of Lonely Souls" which will be released in July by Unspeakable Axe Records.
Horror movie style keyboards start off the album before going into a very fast musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of blast beats along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them while t he vocals are mostly angry black metal screams.
A great amount of 80's era death and thrash metal influences can be heard in the music while the solos and leads also bring in even more of an old school and retro extreme metal style along with the riffs also adding in a decent amount of melody at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Hellish plays a musical style that goes back to the 80's era of black, death and thrash metal, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Occultism and Ancient Belief themes.
In my opinion Hellish are a very great sounding blackened thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Night" "Souls Of Desolation" and "Bloody Tales". 8 out of 10.
