Ignominia are a band from Chile that plays blackened form of death metal with a touch of thrash and this is a review of their self released 2015 ep "Falsa Divinidad".
A very harsh sounding noise intro starts off the ep along with some high pitched screams and growls a few seconds later which also takes the music more into an old school death metal direction while the vocals bring in more of a first wave black metal screaming style style and the music also uses a great amount of blast beats.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the riffs also mix in 80's thrash and 90's death metal and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they bring in even more of an old school extreme metal style to the songs and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording while some of the riffs also use a small amount of morbid sounding melodies and the whole ep also remains very heavy and brutal form beginning to ending of the recording.
Ignominia plays a style of death/thrash that is very heavy, old school and brutal sounding while using black metal vocals which makes the music stand out a bit more, the production sounds very powerful for being a self released recording while the lyrics are written in Spanish and cover blasphemy, anti religion and death themes.
In my opinion Ignominia are a very great sounding blackened death/thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Vision Blasfema" and "Formula de Muerte". 8/5 out of 10.
