Inculcator are a solo project from the United Kingdom that plays a mixture of black and thrash metal and this is a review of his 2016 album "Void Abecedary" which was released on cassette by Caligari Records.
Sound effects start off the album before adding in a heavier sound which also introduces melodic guitar leads onto the recording and after awhile elements of thrash and first wave black metal are added onto the recording along with some aggressive vocals that would of perfectly fit on an 80's extreme metal recording.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the riffs also use a great amount of melody and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the songs also mix in some modern elements into a very old school black/thrash metal and the music also gets very technical at times and later tracks also introduce classical guitars and death metal growls onto t he recording.
Inculcator plays a style of black/thrash metal that is rooted in the 80's while also having more of a technical style and a deeper lyrical approach than most bands of t hat era, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover Luciferian, Qliptoth, Left Hand Path and Occultism themes
In my opinion Inculcator are a very great sounding blackened thrash metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this cassette. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Stygian Expanse" and "Liber Beelzebub". 8 out of 10.
