Abolizion are a solo project from Hungary that plays a very dissonant and blackened from of death metal and this is a review of his self released 2021 ep "Nevtelen".
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the ep while the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of blast beats. Vocals are mostly guttural death metal growls along with some black metal screams also being utilized at times and the riffs also mix in a decent amount of melodies and dissonant structures.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the tracks are in the 3 minute range. Elements of doom metal can be heard in the slower sections of the songs along with some tremolo picking also being added into the faster riffing and all of the music also sticks to a heavier direction.
Abolizion plays a musical style that takes the dissonant forms of black and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics are written in Hungarian and cover darkness and death themes.
In my opinion Abolizion are a very great sounding dissonant blackened death emtal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Katalepszia". 8 out of 10.
