1. For those who have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
R / The band was consolidated in 2008 in Manizales -Colombia, looking for a sound of its own, we started with the union between the Black and Thrash metal, where we shape our ideological concepts that address Paganism, Occultism, World Wars, philosophy, the return of man to his mystical union with the universe and nature
2. So far you have released a demo and a full length, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on these recordings?
R / It is an aggressive, warlike, dark sound. Because we are looking for that fusion between black and thrash metal, creating strong atmospheres with thrash metal and others colder and darker with black metal.
3.Your lyrics cover some Anti Christianity and War topics, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in these subjects?
R / These themes are of our interest because within the concepts of the band, religion in general is a mechanism created to control humanity based on falsehoods, inventing stupid things like sin, eternal punishment, (quoting only a few points); Furthermore, they alienate man from his true link with nature, the universe, with the ancient knowledge, paganism. Wars in general attract our attention because through history they have been forgers of great civilizations, they have been good to unmask the true enemies of humanity, hidden in the light of society, but who in fact manage and destroy all attempts to Evolution of the human being.
4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Dominate'?
R / As its name suggests is inspired by the intention of dominating weak, decadent beings, creating thematic and music only suitable for free and strong spirits. We evoke the return of man to his Golden Age in total synchronism with the universe, nature.
5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
R / The best show we have done was March 19, 2016, with bands with great trajectory in the Colombian scene, we shared stage that night, such as Liturgia and Dark Manthra. It was the best sound with which we could play until now, where the band was perceived with fullness and forcefulness.
At the moment when the band goes on stage we try to show the public visual elements (corpsepaint, belly dress) that complement the music, we try that the presentations are loaded with strength, vitality, aggressiveness, blasphemy and, mostly, We are honest and professional with the metal we create.
6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
R / For now we are in discussions to define dates in the coming months in some cities of Colombia and hope to create the necessary contacts to be able to leave the country in the not too distant future.
7.The album was released on 'Black Serpent Records', can you tell us a little bit more about this label?
R / It is a Colombian label that has its main headquarters in Bogota, created by people who are part of bands with great trajectory in the metal of this country, which is interested in moving and supporting the national metal. Since in this country the resources are very limited so that the bands can record and thus make known their work.
8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black and thrash metal?
R / I think this feedback has been given more to national and local levels, as we are just trying to find the contacts so that our proposal of metal is known outside the country. I think that this feedback has been given by the great contribution that some followers of the band have made with their loyalty and constructive criticism, this has driven us to continue working in search of creating a metal of good level, that is an original metal, not a Copy of metal already made, requiring us day to day to consolidate the band and its sound.
9.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
R / We want the work of the band to be known and well received in our country and why not, outside of this. Always with the slogan that we will be faithful to our thoughts, principles and based on such concepts, we will continue to create the metal that flows through our veins.
10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
R / In the first instance, Classical Music, because it is a sublime music and we believe that it is like a kind of primitive force from which the different types of music sprouted; In addition to the great intellectual influence it exerts on living beings, we are very inspired by the metal created in the 80`s and 90`s, in the old rock school, bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Coven, among Other; South American and Colombian metal.
11. Does Satanism or Occultism play any role in your music?
R / Totally, inside the confines of the band is the knowledge Occultist and Satanist, for us paganism encloses these previous concepts and all the ideology for which the band is inspired. The true ancient knowledge, the inviolate wisdom.
