The Lifted Veil/Genocidal Bliss Of Heasven/Grind To Death Records/2024 Full Length Review

 

  The  Lifted  Veil  are  a  band  from  Finland  that  plays  a  blackened  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2024  album  "Genocidal  Bliss  Of  Heaven"  which  will  be  released  in  April  by  Grind  To  Death  Records.

  Air  raid  sirens  and  black  metal s creams  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  brutal  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  blast b eats.  Death  metal  growls  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  and  the  faster  riffing  also  adds  in  a  lot  of  tremolo  picking  and  all  of t he  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  solos  and  leads are  also  done  in  more  of  a  chaotic  style.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  a  couple  of  tracks  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  clear  vocals.

  Angry  shouts   and choirs  also  being  utilized  briefly,  some  of  the  songs  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  all  of  the  music  also  sticks  to  a  very  heavy  and  brutal  direction  as  well  as  one  song  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  parts.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  a  mixture  of  English  and  Finnish  and  cover  the  human  psyche,,  exploring  themes  of  despair,  destruction  and  transcendence.

  In  my  opinion  The  Lifted  Veil  are  a  very  great  sounding  blackened  death  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Paradise  Of  Parasites"  "Imprisoned  In  Flesh"  and  "The  Cult  of  Deformed  Sanctity".  8  out  of  10.
