Blodspor are a band from Norway that plays a mixture of black and death metal with some elements of grind, hardcore and progressive music and this is a review of their 2015 ep "A Healthy Dose Of hatred" which was released by Negative Vibe Records.
A very heavy bass guitar sound starts off the ep along with some melodic guitar riffs a few seconds later which also leads up to some aggressive hardcore style screams which also bring in death metal growls at times and the music also brings in the energy of crust and grindcore at times and they also have leads that bring in distorted melodies to the bands musical style.
On the later tracks you can hear some Norwegian black metal elements being added into the bands musical style and all of the songs stick to a slow to mid paced musical direction while a later track has some semi black metal style vocals and melodies that are also very progressive and every track remains true to a heavy sound.
Blodspor takes influences from black, death meta, grind, and hardcore to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written mostly in English with one song written in Norwegian and they cover war themes.
In my opinion Blodspor are a very decent sounding mixture of black, death metal, grind and hardcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bloodmarch" and "A Healthy Dose Of Hatred". 7/5 out of 10.
