Sierpes are a band with members from Columbia and Ecuador that plays a mixture of black and speed metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Visiones Caoticas" which was released by Morbid Skull Records.
Air raid sirens along with some synths start off the album and after awhile grim black metal screams are added onto the recording along with the music speeding up and adding in a great amount of blast beats as well as mixing in fist wave black metal and speed metal elements from the 80's.
While the music is very old school it still has an up to date feeling while the solos and leads remains true to an extreme style of old school metal while some of the riffing also brings in a decent amount of melody and the music sticks mostly to a very fast musical direction without ever slowing down and they also bring in a cover of Typhon's "The Age".
Sierpes plays a musical style that takes first and second wave black metal and mixes it with speed metal to create a sound of t heir own, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics are written in Spanish and cover Philosophy, Hedonism, Occultism and Paganism themes.
In my opinion Sierpes are a very great sounding mixture of black and speed metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Black Holocaust" "Peste" and "Doctrina Pagana". 8 out of 10.
