Atomicide are a band from Chile that plays an old school form of blackened death metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Furious And Untamed" which will be released in June by Iron Bonehead Productions.
War sounds start off the ep along with some distorted guitar leads and drum beats a few seconds alter which also takes the music into a heavier direction while also introducing blackened vocals onto the recording along with the riffs also mixing in a great amount of 80's and 90's death metal influences.
Elements of thrash can also be heard at times while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking along with the tracks also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as always remaining very heavy.
Atomicide plays a style of blackened death metal that is very heavily rooted in the mid 80's to early 90's South American tradition, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover war themes.
In my opinion Atomicide are a very great sounding old school blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Flagellant Rust". 8 out of 10.
