Musmahhu/Formulas Of Rotten Death/Iron Bonehead Productions/2018 EP Review

  Musmahhu  are  a  solo  project  from  Sweden  that  plays  a  blackened  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2018  ep  "Formulas  Of  Rotten  Death"  which  will  be  released  in  June  by  Iron  Bonehead  Productions.

  A  very  dark  yet  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  ep  before  speeding  up  and  also  introducing  brutal  blast  beats  onto  the  recording  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  along  with  the  vocals  also  bringing  in  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  growls.

  Most  of  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  while  the  solos  and  leads  also  remain  true  to  a  very  chaotic  yet  old  school  style  along  with  the  riffs  also  having  their  melodic  moments  and  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  as  well  as  the  music  always  remaining  very  heavy.

  Mushmahhu  plays  a  style  of  blackened  death  metal  that  is  very  brutal  yet  old  school  sounding  at  times,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  death,  disease  and  apocalyptic  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Mushmahhu  are  a  very  great  sounding  blackened  death  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Formulas  of  Rotten  Death".  8  out  of  10.
