Disschrist/An Out Recordings/2010 Demo Review

  Disschrist  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black  metal,   noise,  screamo  and  doom  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2010  demo.

  The  demo  starts  out  with  some  post  hardcore  style  guitar  riffs  and  drums  and  after  awhile  screams  and  blast  beats  are  added  into  the  music  before  going  for  more  of  a  doom  metal  direction  but  also  keeping  the  fast  parts  around.


  As  the  demo  moves  on  the  music  starts  getting  more  diverse  and  post  hardcore,  black  metal  and  doom  metal  parts  being  mixed  together really  bring  out  an  original  sound  in  the  music  and  the  blast  beats  when  they  are  utilized  bring  a  lot  of  brutal  elements  into  the  recording.


  Song  lyrics  cover  war  and  hateful  themes,  while  the  production  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with  the  bass  guitars  being  mixed  down  low  in  the  mix.

  In  my  opinion  Disschrist  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black  metal,  screamo  and  doom  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Country"  and  "Torsten's  Son".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
