Wolfe Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording and release of the new split?

‘The End of Humanity” split was actually recorded as part of the WOLFE II recordings that where laid down at Goat Sound studios by Jason PC of BLOOD DUSTER in july of 2012. The noise recorded that week was always intended to be released as a complete album after splitting it up for some shared releases, these include the two tracks that appeared on the split with FIFTEEN DEAD of Scotland and the two tracks that appeared on the split with SETE STAR SEPT of Japan. Since those cold winter months that resulted in the vicious terrorist demands we call WOLFE II, we have been tirelessly working on a 40 minute mini lp of pure dark horror and audio terror, along with the annual festival we book as our only gig we perform yearly titled WHEN TERROR UNITES. Recording for the fourth coming ANTI-THEIST EXTREMIST 12’’ will again be with Jason however this time produced solely by the band ourselves at the home studio owned by BLIGHT- guitars/vox

2.Recently you have released a new split, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical direction of the new recording and also how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?

The direction was simple and straight forward- here are the problems with man kind- here are the solutions, fix it, the noise just fell into place.

3.I have noticed all of the song titles start with numbers, can you tell us a little bit more about it and also what are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

The numerals are only used as documentation for the order in which the noise was created- WOLFE I + WOLFE II being part of larger whole or one joint piece of music released in small packages to capture a wide global spread. Noise for the mini lp will be titled. The lyrics aren’t to different to any of those we may see in a terrorist demand video, only the demands we are making are for the extinction of mankind to cleanse the earth of our filthy habits so as to begin its recuperation, removing the filthy stain laid by us.

4.According to the facebook page the core beliefs of the band are anti-imperialist mixed with  anti-patriachal and anti -racist elements, can you tell us a little bit more about it?

Ah yes, the facebook page, what would a band be today without a facebook page. If it isn’t immediately evident by the sheer passion in the delivery of the noise, WOLFE exist for many reasons but none greater than one overwhelming fact- modern life is war, war against the self- it should be the opposite. Im no communist, no Buddhist, No hippy or whatever other moniker you could use to describe ones beliefs however I am one that believes power, be it by race, blood, imperial or other, is the driving mechanism that has us divided and fighting for survival. Surely our intelligence can navigate us toward a cohesive lifestyle, where neither man nor nature is exploited for anothers gain.

6.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Wolfe'?

As we had actually began making noise together for this group back in 2006 we had no name, we had no use for one. When it came time to release material we had recorded we tossed a few around- all of which we including the word or term wolf, the end result being the german spelling for WOLFE (with umlauts over the O)

WOLFE was chosen as throughout all of recorded human history and further throughout folklore, the wolf has always been a symbol of destruction- the destruction needed to bring about the bloody revolution in which many humans will perish, eventually reaching our goal.

7.There are only 2 members in the band, are you planning on expanding the line up in the future or do you chose to remain a duo?

After being asked to force our terrible noise on unsuspecting live music goers at OBSCENE EXTREME, Blight and I decided it best to expand. Brad joined 6 weeks prior to that show and had remained a live riot member only until being asked to stitch the individual pieces of music together for the new release. A release of one song comprised of 5 parts-
5 paths of personal exploration through the psyche of man, toward the dark crevasse  where greed and attribution take root, seeding the self destructive nature of mankind. If WOLFE are to create more noise in the future, Brad will be sharing the creative duties among Blight and Myself.

8.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?

There are no good or best shows played, there simply are different experiences had and different responses as a result. Perhaps playing a show as an unannounced band on a strictly solo noise artist show was one worth noting. We played with no foldback, no sound engineer to ‘fix’our sound and no lights, just a room of smoke, war and noise.

9.Can you tell us a little bit bit about the shows and gigs that you have planned for the future?

As creation is our main agenda, gigs are never a priority. Each year we will continue to open our festival celebrating the blackdeath (blackplague)- the one series of events that nearly singlehandedly achieved our goal in but a manner of years.
We have neither need nor desire to ‘perform’ our noise live- we live its reason in every element of daily life, be it through the collaborative ‘THE END OF HUMANITY’ where political propaganda is spread in varying forms across the globe or in our daily actions concerning human interaction. Its on wax, if you don’t buy one at cost price you simply have to sit here and listen to me drill it in personally.
“you’re the reason life is frail, kill yourself and those around you, do it quickly and loudly”

10.Over the years the band has been a part of a few splits out of all the bands you have worked with on these recordings which one where you the most homored to share a split with?

No comrade of war deserves more credit than his company.

11.The bands music has been released on The End Of Humanity, can you tell us a little bit more about this label?

THE END OF HUMANITY operates in many ways, from many angles and for one purpose. My part in the collective has involved the release of noise and a free, monthly, country wide youth magazine designed to draw attention to the politically corrupt system that has us all enslaved- capitalism. The collective does many other things, most of which anonymously.

12.When can we expect a full length album and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

The mini lp will be available in mirco quantities on wax early 2015, each containing 40 minutes of uncomfortable listening, recipes’ for explosives and poisons, hidden identity devices & methods and of course the usual affiliated paraphernalia. The noise on that release has encumbered the currently known sound of WOLFE with a darker, more sinister sound. Something resembling the horror of an outer body experience during a schizophrenic episode. The sound, although recorded live, will be highly altered post recording, something we are sure that any idiot calling themselves a ‘fan’of WOLFE will truly despise, to them I say “don’t fear change”

13.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

This is a conversation that could go on for many days as the members of WOLFE all share broad and varying musical preferences, all of which have had direct and indirect influences on our creative elements.
Bands to hear of a similar sound are ALTARS, NEKRASOV, WHITEHORSE, KROMOSOM, LAST CHAOS, BLACK JESUS, THE NIHILISTIC FRONT, DESTRUKTOR, MISERY, AASTRIAL, SADISTIK EXECUTION, CONSUMATION, IMPETUOUS RITUAL, MONGRELS CROSS and too many more

14.How would you describe your views on life, politics and death?

Seriously. So serious infact that when I mentioned it to you I had hoped the interview would not be band related as there are many more important things occurring this very minute  we could be discussing.

15.What are some of your non musical interests?

All of my personal interests are in some way rhythmical, be it in the form of literature; prose, poetry; or science in the field of the human genome understanding, through to ancient history.
Even growing vegetables is in some way rudimentary

16.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

I have many thoughts however only a fool would call them final.
