Alfahamme/Det Nya Svarta/Indie Recordings/2017 CD Review

  Alfahanne   plays  a  musical  style  they  refer  to  as  'Alfapocalyptic  Rock'  which  mixes  black  metal,  punk,  and  classic  rock  together  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2017  album  "Det  Nya  Svarta"  which  was  released  by  Indie  Recordings.

  Dark  sounding  synths  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  heavy  riffing  a  few  seconds  later  ads  well  as  some  distorted  vocals  and  you  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  the  recording  and  the  riffs  also  mix  black  metal  and  punk  together  along  with  the  vocals  also  adding  in  a  melodic  tone.

  A  great  amount  of  classic  rock  influences  can  be  heard  in  the  bands musical  style  and  when  guitar  leads a re  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  post  punk  and  indie  rock  fashion  and  some  tracks  also  bring  in  a  small  amount  of  clean  guitars  and  spoken  word  samples  are  also  used  briefly  and  most  of  the  music  sticks  to a  mid  paced  direction  and  the  last  track  is  long  and  epic  in  length.

  Alfahanne  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  black  metal,  punk  and  classic  rock  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Swedish  and  cover  Satanism  and  the  darkness  of  mankind  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Alfahanne  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black  metal,  punk, and  classic  rock  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Satans  Verser"  "Dodsmaskin"  "Aven  En  Hund  Har  Sin  Dag"  and  "Det  Nya  Svarta".  8  out  of  10
