Winds Of Leng are a band from Phoenix, Arizona that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2017 album "Horrid Dominion".
An atmospheric sounding intro starts off the album before going into a heavier direction and when the musical speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard while t he vocals are mostly death metal growls along with a few black metal screams and the riffs also use a decent amount of dark sounding melodies.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark and melodic fashion and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while some of the faster riffing uses a decent amount of tremolo picking along with a few tracks being very long and epic in length and most of t he tracks stick to a heavy direction.
Winds Of Leng plays a musical style that mixes black and death metal together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover horror, apocalypse and the unexplained themes.
In my opinion Winds Of Leng are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Beneath Unhallowed Earth" "Awakening The Over mind" and "lord Of The Dead". 8 out of 10.
