Cruelty Force are a band from Italy that plays a very hateful mixture of black and thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2017 demo "Cruelty Void".
Spoken word samples start off the demo before going into more of a heavy and old school direction along with some 80's underground demo extreme metal style vocals which also use grim black metal screams at times while the music is heavily influenced by both the first and second wave eras of the genre.
When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as w ell as the riffs also mixing in a great amount of thrash influences, when guitar solos and leads are utilized they remain true to an 80's style of black metal and they also bring in a cover of Mortuary Drape's "Evil Death".
Cruelty Force plays a musical style that mixes the 80's and early 90's style of black metal with 80's style thrash to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover darkness and death themes.
In my opinion Cruelty Force are a very great sounding hateful mixture of black and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Slave" and "Dealing With Death". 8 out of 10
