False Flag are a band from India that plays a mixture of black metal, neo crust, screamo, d beat and hardcore and this is a review of their self titled and self released 2017 ep.
Powerful sounding bass guitars start off the ep before going into more of a heavier musical direction while you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording along with a great amount of crust and d beat elements as well as a more traditional hardcore vocal approach.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with a great amount of black metal influences and screamo elements while the riffs also use a great amount of melody as well as adding in touches of post hardcore and the music always remains heavy and the guitar leads are done in a very melodic fashion.
False Flag plays a musical style that takes black metal, neo crust, screamo, d beat and hardcore and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very powerful for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover philosophical themes.
In my opinion False Flag are a very great sounding mixture of black metal, neo crust, d beat, screamo and hardcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Unbroken". 8 out of 10.
