Joel Grind's Yellowgoat/The Yellowgoat Sessions/Nimbit Music/2013 CD Review

Joel  Grind's  Yellowgoat  is  a  side  project  of  Toxic  Holocaust  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black  metal, thrash,  punk  and  rock music  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  The  Yellowgoat  Sessions"  which  was  released  by  Nimbit  Music.

Drums range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  not  much  in  the  way  of  blast  beats,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  sound  with  heavy  rock  riffing  that  dominates  throughout  the  recording.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  black  metal,  thrash,  punk  and  rock  music  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  old  school  sounding  metal/hard  rock  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  are  all  black  metal  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark,  satanic  and  occult  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  dark,  powerful  and  old  school  sound  to  it  where  you  can  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  this  recording.

In  my  opinion  Joel  Grind'a  Yellowgoat  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  black  metal,  thrash,  punk  and  rock  music  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Hell's  Master  Of  Hell"  "Cross  Damnation"  "Black Order" and  "The  Eternal  One".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
