Nuisible are a band from France that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a blackened mixture of deathcore and crust and this is a review of their 2018 album "Slaves And Snakes" which will be released on September 21st by Deadlight Entertainment.
A very dark sounding intro starts off the album before going into a heavier direction while spoken word parts can also be heard briefly along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as the music also mixing in elements of crust and hardcore.
Vocals are mostly angry sounding shouts and growls while the riffs also bring in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies along with the faster sections of the songs also using a great amount of blast beats as well as some black metal screams also being utilized at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic style while the music brings in elements of Swedish style death metal at times along with some deathcore style breakdowns also being utilized in the mid tempo sections of the songs and keyboards can also be heard briefly and as the album progresses their is also a brief use of melodic chants.
On this recording Nuisible takes black, death metal, crust and deathcore and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover capitalism, alienation, corruption, the loss of dear ones, depression and addiction themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Nuisible and if you are a fan of blackened crust and deathcore, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Evil Still" Vengeful Blood" "Burning Embers" and "Blur The Light". 8 out of 10.
