+ MROME + are a band from Poland that has been featured before in this zine and on this recording moves away from the mixture of black, death and thrash metal from previous releases and goes into more of a thrash metal direction and this is a review of their self released 2019 album "Leech Ghetto" which will be released in September.
A very heavy sound starts off the album while also adding in elements of thrash metal along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them. When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard and the vocals are done in more of an 80's extreme metal style.
Most of the music is very heavily rooted in the 80's while also sounding very modern at the same time. throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as some death metal growls also being used briefly and as the album progresses one track also introduces clean playing onto the recording.
Sne song shows the vocals also adding in some blackened metal screams along with some of the riffs also adding in a small amount of melody and on some tracks the vocals also utilize a semi melodic tone. The production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover dark, political and anti religion themes.
In my opinion this is another recording sounding recording from + MROME + and while some black and death emtal fans might not like the new style, I see this album gaining an audience with fans of thrash metal. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Rogue" "The City of Opax" "Detroit Daze" and "Primordial Soup". 8 out of 10.
