This is a review of a split album between Poland's Throneum and Kingdom called "ThronDom des Bosrn" which was released by godz of War Productions and we will start off the review with Throneum who return with their blackened style of death metal.
Their side of the split starts out with A very dark and heavy sound before going into more of a fast and brutal direction which also adds in a great amount of blast beats. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the vocals are mostly blackened metal screams and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Elements of death metal are also utilized quite a bit throughout their side of the split along with the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very dark, melodic and old school style, clean playing can also be heard briefly and their side of the split closes with a cover of Unholy's "Neverending Day" which also adds in some female vocals. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover death, mythology, darkness, war, torture and blasphemy themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Throneum and if you are a fan of blackened death metal, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ereshkigal" and "Affirmation".
Next up is Kingdom who return with their blackened style of death metal.
Their side of the split starts out with some dark riffing while their first track is over 11 minutes in length. Guttural death metal growls and black metal screams are also a very huge part of their side of the split along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard along with the songs also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very dark yet melodic style as well as one song also adding in the brief use of torture samples and their side of the split closes with a cover of The Sisters Of mercy "Lucretia My Reflection". The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover death, darkness, blasphemy and anti Christianity themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Kingdom and if you are a fan of blackened death metal, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Ścieżka Nicości".
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and would recommend it to all fans of blackened death metal.
