Knowledge Through Suffering are a solo project from italy that plays a dissonant mixture of black, doom and death metal and this is a review of his 2021 album "Concealment" which will be released in September by Brucia Records.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the album while the slower sections of the songs also add in elements of doom metal. Vocals are mostly cavernous death metal growls along with some evil sounding melodies also being added into some of the guitar riffing and all of the tracks are also very long and epic in length.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. When the music speeds up a decent amount of black metal tremolo picking and blast beats are also utilized and the solos and leads are also done in a very chaotic style.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some angry shouts also being used at times as well as some dissonant structures are also added into some of the the guitar riffing. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the esoteric notion of God's disappointment for his own act of creation.
In my opinion Knowledge Through Suffering are a very great sounding dissonant mixture of black, doom and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Let the Earth Sprout". 8 out of 10.
