This is a review of a split ep between United Kingdom's Tyrannus and Magicide called "Tony Punching Music" which was released by Fiadh Productions and we will start off the review with Tyrannus who return with their mixture of black, thrash and speed metal.
Their side of the split starts out with a very dark yet heavy sound while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody. Vocals are mostly black metal screams along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them, when the music speeds up a decent amount of thrash, speed metal and crust punk elements can also be heard as well as the song also adding in some slow and mid tempo sections and the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style. The production sounds very professional and the lyrics cover police brutality and corruption themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding track from Tyrannus and if you are a fan of black, thrash and speed metal, you should check out their side of the split.
Next up is Magicide a solo project that plays a mixture of industrial, ebm and metal.
His side of the split starts out with electronic beats which also bring in elements of industrial and ebm before going into a very fast and brutal extreme metal direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as both tracks being short in length, spoken word parts and black metal screams can also b e heard briefly and the production sounds very professional.
In my opinion Magicide are a very great sounding mixture of industrial, edm and metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should c heck out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Tony Punching Music".
In conclusion i feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of industrial, edm, black, thrash and speed metal. 8 out of 10.
