Verminizer are a duo from the United States that plays a mixture of black metal, industrial, noise and grindcore and this is a review of their self released 2023 album which was released by Death Hymns.
Classic horror movie samples start off the album before going into a very fast and brutal grindcore direction which also utilizes a great amount of blast beats. All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the vocals are a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic style while the faster riffing also adds in a decent amount of tremolo picking. Most of the tracks are also very short in length along with the songs also adding in a lot of noisecore elements as well as some of the riffing also adding in a small amount of melody.
The drum programming also adds in touches of industrial and throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as some of the riffing also showing an influence of thrash metal. Clean playing can also be heard briefly and some tracks also add in video game music samples. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover horror and gore themes.
In my opinion Verminizer are a very great sounding mixture of black, thrash metal, industrial, noise and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Diabolicalamity" "On Wastelands Of Exorcism" "Vile Throne" and "Verminizer". 8 out of 10.
