Crucifixion BR are a band from Brazil that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2021 album "Human Decay" which was released by Shinigami Records.
A very dark and apocalyptic sounding intro starts off the album before going into a heavier musical direction. All of the instruments also have a very powerful sound to them while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of blast beats and the vocals are mostly death metal growls.
Most of the music is also very heavily rooted in the South American style while dark sounding melodic are also added into some of the guitar riffing. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the solos and leads also remaining very true to an old school style.
When screams are utilized they also bring in elements of black metal along with a couple of brief interludes can also be heard before some of the songs as well as some synths and clean playing also being utilized briefly, a couple of the tracks are also very long and epic in length and spoken word parts are also introduced on a track as the album progresses. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Anti Christianity, Death and Existential Crisis themes.
In my opinion Crucifixion BR are a very great sounding blackened death metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Human Decay" "A Few Lies Of Your Whole Light" and "Insanidade bestial". 8 out of 10.
