Pyrrhic Salvation are a band from the United States with embers from Veilburner and Carcinomic that plays a very technical and blackened form of death metal and this is review of their self released ep "Manifestum I" which will be released in 2022.
A very heavy yet brutal sound starts off the album while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of blast beats. Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and blackened screams along with the music also having its technical moments and all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style. Clean playing can also be heard in some parts of the ep along with one of the tracks also being a brief acoustic instrumental before returning back to a heavier direction and a couple of the songs are also very long and epic in length.
Pyrrhic Salvation plays a musical style that takes technical death metal and mixes it with black metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover esoteric themes.
In my opinion Pyrrhic Salvation are a very great sounding technical blackened death metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Void mass Revulsion" and "Those That Dwell". 8 out of 10.
