Deus Vermin are a band from the United Kingdom that plays a dissonant and blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2022 demo.
A very dark, heavy and dissonant sound starts off the demo while the vocals are a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls. When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard along with the guitar riffing also adding in some dark sounding melodies at times.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are also done in a more dissonant style. Most of the sounds bring a very modern approach to the genre along with the whole ep sticking to a very heavy and brutal sound from closing to end of the demo and tremolo picking can also be heard in some of the faster riffing.
Deus Vermin plays a style of blackened death metal that is very brutal and dissonant sounding. The production sounds very dark and heavy while the lyrics cover dark and oppressive themes.
In my opinion Deus Vermin are a very great sounding dissonant blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Vision" and "Harm". 8 out of 10.
