Vomitor are a band from Australia that has been around for more than 20 years and plays a mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Pestilent Death" which will be released in April by Hells Headbangers.
Melodic yet old school metal riffing starts off the album while the faster sections of the songs bringing in a great amount of blast beats along with the vocals adding in more of a first wave black metal style of screams as well as the music being rooted in the 90's but also capturing a modern atmosphere.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while t he music also brings in a great amount of old school death metal elements along with the solos and leads being done in an early 90's fashion and as the album progresses some of the riffs also add in a touch of speed metal as well as always remaining heavy.
Vomitor plays a musical style that goes back to the early days of black, death and thrash metal, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover nuclear terror and death themes.
In my opinion Vomitor are a very great sounding mixture of black, death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Roar of War" "Tremendous Insane" and "Hell's Butcher". 8 out of 10.
