Sins Of The Damned Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Sins of the Damned starts on 2013 with the intention of imposing some of the South American power and Darkness in the current Speed Metal, the band was formed by Razor, Noisemaker And I, after rehearsing a time we began to launch Demos giving shape to our formula to make METAL and improving aspects of technique in each of them, I Think some of that crudeness is accentuated in our current sound, so prefer the metal, without so much paraphernalia , a darker and more direct sound, in 2016 we thought it was time to work on an LP and after a lot of adversities and problems you have in your hands  "Striking the Bell of Death " And you can hear the result.

2.In May you have your first full length coming out, musically how does it differ from your previous demo's and split?

I Think the LP cleans much better what we imagine when forming the band, this work is much more violent and fast, furious in many ways and enhances intention, I think the main difference you will find is that we dedicate a lot in every aspect of work and music,For me really captures what Sins of the Damned will maintain over time

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band has explored so far with the music?

We are inspired by the real world, you will not find Hechizeria and fantasy in our lyrics, we feel that we are in a agonico state and decadent as humans,We translate something of our own vision of it in the reggaetonline, we explain why of our fury, currently the violence, the corruption and destruction
surround us only take a look at present, there is also much of what has happened in the history of our country , we try to leave a real record of it inour lyrics.

4.Most of the band members also play in other bands, what is it that you bring into 'Sins Of The Damned' musically that you are not able to do with your other groups?

Each Band is different, each band has a personality, for me  "Sins " is the most landed, we can talk everyday topics under our vision Staff as a band, also the music line allows us to develop our individual influences and adozarlas to the dark Speed Metal we do.The Other bands do not restrict creativity, but each one has its own influences, sound and themes to expose.

5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Sins Of The Damned'?

"Master of Disguise " is one of the best Speed Metal discs that exist, this in the collection of all of us, Sins of the Damned is the key track of the disc, Give it a listener and read your question again.

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the album cover?

Ivex Lee B. has always been in charge of the concepts of art, this time we asked him to listen to the album and realize a concept, when we had clear the ideaFor the cover, we started looking for an artist, contact Diablo Macabre and we present the project, immediately understood what we were looking for, we only had to make adjustments of color and that type of details, we are very satisfied with his work and it is probable that Let's get back to work the same way.

7.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

We are Not a band that pretend to play every weekend, on the one hand we believe that the shows are a special part of what the band wants Show in your music and we are not very friends about expose us, we receive enough invitations to play but we do not accept more than one or two a year.I Think the best show we have participated in was playing with AMMIT and EnFORCEr, on the one hand AMMIT is a band that we always admire when We were children, raw and direct sound, and ENFORCER are good childhood friends, it was a perfect instance, filled with underground metal, alcohol, speed and metal,We Try to give a quick, violent and dark message on the stage, we play for those who love the real metal just like us.

8.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new album is released?

We Have A couple of Shows planned in Chile and a couple of countries, I would not like to talk about it until everything is concrete, we will announce when the time Indicated... Less words, more METAL!

9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black, thrash and speed metal?

So far I have made some reviews, in general terms the band has good reception in the specialized UNDERGROUND media, although it is not our Main interest is good to know that there are many people who enjoy the music we do, SHADOW KINGDOM has done an excellent job in the promotion, which we has made it to many people who did not know the band, I think it is excellent that an UNDERGROUND METAL seal is taken so seriously things taking it To the next level without losing the real intention that characterizes the authentic METAL.

10.What is going on with some of the other bands or musical projects these days that some of the band members are a part of?

Together with Noisemaker we formed CRIME a while ago, we launched an EP that was very well received by the HEAVY METAL Street Maniacs and Viceral (as it should be), We are working on a debut album in parallel to the plans of Sins of the Damned, I can Also speak for BLACK CEREMONIAL KULT band that is also working on its first LP, is that there is much expectation about it for those who enjoy DEATH/BLACK METAL, I think it is one of the darkest discs you can hear, on the other hand Tyrant our drummer plays in 3 or 4 bands more, it is difficult to know that each of them, in general we all have parallel bands That we take very seriously.

11.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

I Think we found our sound, we started recently to compose our second album, we want to be consistent and not lose the line, I think that include something more than the speed of the DEATHRASH we would do well, let's see what time says.

12.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

I Think the album that Changed my life was "BLACK METAL" of VENOM, you know, at 14 years you're quite influential hahaha!.. I think the German and Brazilian THRASH Are of my main influences, the European SPEED METAL and some American bands of the mid-80s also blew my head, currently I hear a lot DEATH METAL And BLACK, in my favorite bands are the first discs of: VIOLENT FORCE, DEATHROW, DEBUSTROL, AMMIT, RUNIING WILD, SLAYER, SABBAT, UNANIMATED,  DISSECTION, IMPALED NAZARENE, MOTORHEAD, VULCANO, BEWITCHED (SWE), SAVAGE GRACE, MORBID ANGEL, MERCILESS, MAYHEM, TROJAN, SODOM,  SLAUGHTER, KRATHERION, IRON ANGEL, RAZOR, RIOT, GOD DETHRONED, JUDAS PRIEST.

13.Does Occultism play any role in your music?

In Sins of the Damned None, the other bands where I play have their own way.

14.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Well, thanks for the interest in our music, I would like to recommend a couple of discs for those who read: DEBUSTROL  "NEUROLOPATOLOG "-DAWN  "SLAUGHTERSUN "-AMMIT  "HAMMER OF DARKNESS "-BLIZZARD  "PURE FILTH AND MAYHEM "And Whoever has the opportunity listen to our album  "STRIKING THE BELL OF DEATH " The hardest that your stereo allows!

Sins Of The Damned/Striking The Bell Of Death/Shadow Kingdom Records/2019 CD Review

Sins  Of  The  Damned  are  a  band  from  Chile  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black,  thrash  and  speed  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2019  album  "Striking  The  Bell  Of  Death"  which  will  be  released  in  May  by Shadow  Kingdom  Records.

Nature  orientated  soundscapes  and  war  samples  start  off  the  album  along  with  a  brief  use  of  keyboards  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction.  When  guitar  solos and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  yet  old  school  style  along  with  the  music  also  having  a  great  amount  of  80's  influences  but  sounding  modern  at  the  same  time.

A  decent  amount  of  melody  can  also  be  heard  in  the  guitar  riffing  while  the  vocals a re  mostly  black  metal  screams  that  are  heavily  influenced  by  both  the  first  and  second  wave  era's.  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  lot  of  elements  of  thrash  and  speed  metal  and  some  of  the  tracks  are  long  and  epic  in  length.

The  songs  also  add  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  vocals  also  add  in  some  demonic  growls  at  times  as  well  as  some  of  the  music  also  adding  in  some  influences  of  early  80's  traditional  metal,  as  the  album  progresses  keyboards  also  make  a  return  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  life,  revenge  and  war  themes.

In  my  opinion  Sins  Of  The  Damned  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black,  thrash  and  speed  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Striking  The  Bell  Of  Death"  "The  Outcast(Sign  Of  Cain)"  and  "Death's  All  Around  You".  8  out  of  10.
