Necrosexual/Road To Rubble/Black metal Archives/2026 Full Length Review

 

  Pennsylvania's  Necrosexual  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  black,  thrash,  speed  metal  and  horror  punk  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  album  "Road  To  Rubble"  which  will  be  released  in  2026  by  Black  Metal  Archives.

  Drum  beats  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  heavy  riffing  a  very  seconds  later  while  the  vocals  are done  in  a  first  wave  black  metal  style  mixed  in  with  a  few  screams.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  riffs  also  add  in  elements  of  thrash  and  speed  emtal.

  At  times  the  music  also  captures  the  raw  energy  pf  punk  rock  while  also  making  an  80's  style  sound  more  modern.  When  the  album  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard  along  with  the  solos  and  leads  also  sticking  to  more  of  an  old  school  retro  style.

  Keyboards  which  also  bring  in  a  horror  movie  atmosphere  are  also  utilized  at  times  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  as  well  as  a  couple  of  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  clear  singing,  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  one  song  is  also  an  instrumental.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Necrosexuality,  Lust,  Dark  Humour,  Horror  and  Heavy  Metal  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Necrosexual  and  if  you  are a   fan  of  black,  thrash,  speed  metal  and  horror  punk,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "High  Times  In  Hell"  "Lubricator"  and  "Hard  Leather  Women".  8  out  of  10.

The Necrosexual/Seeds Of Seduction/Folkvangr Records/2021 EP Review

 

  Pennsylvania's  The  Necrosexual  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  more  of  a  mixture  of  black  and  speed  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2021  ep  "Seeds  of  Seduction"  which  will  be  released  in  September  by  Folkvangr  Records.

  Drum  beats  and  heavy  80's  influenced  riffing  starts  off  the  ep  while  evil  sounding  laughter  and  melodic  screams  can  also  be  heard  briefly.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  blast b eats  can  be  heard  along  with  the  music  also  bringing  in  a  elements  of  thrash,  speed  and  first  wave  black  metal.

  Vocals  are  done  in  mostly  a  melodic  yet  aggressive  80's  thrash  metal  style  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  remain  true  to  an  old  school  era  along  with  some  spoken  word  parts  also being  utilized  briefly  and  all  of  the  music  also  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction,  touches  of  grindcore  and  punk  can  also b e  heard  at  times  and  synths  are  also  added  on  the  closing  track.

  On  this  recording  The  Necrosexual  takes  the  80's  styles  of  black,  thrash  and  speed  metal  and  mixes  them  in  with  a  more  modern  sound.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  sex  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  The  Necrosexual  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black,  thrash  and  speed  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Chaos  Command".  8  out  of  10.

The Necrosexual/Gory Hole/2019 EP Review

  The  Necrosexual  are  a  band  from  Pennsylvania  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  black  metal,  thrash  and  crossover  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2019  ep  "Gory  Hole"  which  will  be  released  in  May.

  A  very  heavy  and  distorted  guitar   sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  grim  black  metal  screams  a  few  seconds  later.  Spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  a  brief  use  of  power  metal  screams  and  when  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  old  school and  melodic  metal  style.

  Blast  beats  can  also  be heard  during  the  faster  sections  of  the  music  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  thrash  and  elements.  Elements  of  crossover  and  hardcore  punk  can  also  be  heard  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  in  both  the  riffs  and  vocal  styles  as  well  as  a  touch  of  first  wave  black  metal  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  melody.  They  also  bring  in  a  cover  of  Black  Widow's  "In  Ancient  Days"  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  sound  very  powerful.

  The  Necrosexual  creates  another  recording  that  remains  true  to  the  mixture  of  black  metal,  thrash  and  crossover  from  their  previous  release.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  for  being  a  self  released  recording  while  the  lyrics  cover  freaks  and  necrosexuality  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  The  Necrosexual  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black  metal,  thrash  and  crossover,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "The  Lair  Where  No  Light  Enters"  and  "Orgy  on  Your  Burial".  8  out  of  10.

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
Necrosexual is the most electrifying band in corpse entertainment. We take what is ours and we aim to excite. Nothing will stand in our way.

2.How would you describe the musical sound of the newer music?
Our new album GRIM 1 is guaranteed to give old school headbangers a heavy metal hard on. This album is the perfect soundtrack for fighting off a pack of wolves with one's bare hands.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
My lyrics deal with all matters of postmortem penetration, the cruel songs of thunder and snow, decadent aggression, throwing one's enemies into the bottomless pit, and the X-Files.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Necrosexual'?
Necrosexual is the fancy way of saying DEAD SEXY.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
Our live show is like the Matrix. You have to experience it to believe it. But I guarantee it will change you forever. We bring a certain physicality to our live performance.  We are hungry to play out more with the debut of GRIM 1, as Necromania takes over the world.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the new album?
Our album release date is February 18 at Franky Bradley's in Philadelphia. You can also see me at Maryland Deathfest, selling heavy metal handjobs in the parking lot to finance my next album.

7.Currently you are unsigned, re you looking for a label or have received any interest?
I like that the Grim 1 album is 100% self released and independent. I pride myself on being a self made man.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of extreme metal?
I'm building an army of Necromaniacs one person at a time. I don't consider myself an acquired taste. People either get me or they don't. To those willing to go one on one with the Grim 1, I raise the horns of metal to you in salute.

9.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
My goal is to record the next album in 2018 and keep on slaying posers anywhere I can find a stage. We already have two guitar click tracks recorded for drum tracking, and another full length album worth of songs.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
I'm on a Finnish death metal kick lately, thanks to my drummer Mike Churry. Demilich and Depravity have been on rotation at full blast in the Necrosexual's lair as of this writing.

11.What are some of your non musical interests?
Summoning the dead, self flagellation, and chess.

Necrosexual  are  a duo from  Pennsylvania  that  plays  a  a  mixture  of  black  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  self  released  2018  album  "Grim  1"  which  will  be  released  in  February.

  Distorted  amp  sounds  along  with  some  horror  movie  style  synths  start  off  the  album  and  after  the  intro  bass  guitars  and  80's thrash  style  vocals  are  added  onto  the  recording  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  use  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  as  well  as  the  vocals  also  getting  semi  melodic  at  times.

  Touches  of  crossover  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while  the  solos  and  leads  bring  in  an  80's  hard  rock/metal  style  along  with  the  songs  also  bringing  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  they  also  bring  in  a  cover  of  Rolling  Stones's  "Paint  It  Back"  and even  though  the  music  is  very  retro  it  still  maintains  a  very  modern  feeling,  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly.

  Necrosexual  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  the  old  school  styles  of  black  and  thrash  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  for  being  a  self  released  recording  while  the  lyrics  cover  humorous  themes.
