Speedwhore are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of black, thrash and speed metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "The Future Is Now" which was released by Witches Brew.
A very dark sounding intro starts off the album along with some heavy and melodic riffs a few seconds later as well a s a brief use of spoken word parts and after the intro the music speeds up and also brings in blast beats and high pitched black metal screams that also utilize melodic shouts at times.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as a great amount of thrash elements and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and death metal growls can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the slower riffs also add in a touch of doom metal and while the music is very heavily rooted in the 80's it still brings in a very modern feeling while also bringing in a heavy dose of traditional and speed metal into their blackened style and one track also brings in a few seconds of clean singing.
Speedwhore plays a musical style that is very heavily rooted in the first wave black metal style while adding in more of a modern touch and elements of thrash and speed metal to create a very heavy yet old school sounding recording, the production sounds very heavy while the lyrics cover violent themes.
In my opinion Speedwhore are a very great sounding mixture of black, thrash and speed metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Call" "Secret Science" and "The Future Is Now". 8 out of 10.
