Triverse Massacre are a band from the United Kingdom that plays a mixture of black, death, thrash and groove metal and this is a review of their self released 2017 ep "Hades".
A very dark and epic sounding intro starts off the ep along with some symphonic elements while spoken word parts can also be heard briefly before going into a heavier direction along with the riffs also bringing in a great amount of melody as well as the solos and leads being done in a very melodic fashion.
Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats along with some synths also being mixed in with the heavier sections of the music at times and the songs also incorporate elements of modern thrash and groove metal as well as some of the faster riffing also bringing in a small amount of tremolo picking.
Triverse Massacre plays a musical style that takes black, death, thrash and groove metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics are a concept album based on the 5 rivers of Hades in Greek Mythology.
In my opinion Triverse Massacre are a very great sounding mixture of black, death, thrash and groove metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Styx" and "Phlegethon". 8 out of 10.
