Los Angeles California's Gravehill have returned with a new recording which continues their mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "The Unchaste, The Wicked & The Profane" which will be released in March by Dark Descent Records.
Dark yet melodic sounding guitar leads start off the album which also takes the music into more of a heavier direction while the faster sections of the songs bringing in a great amount of blast beats along with the vocals being a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the riffs also bring in a decent amount of tremolo picking along with some dark sounding melodies also being used at times as well as some songs mixing in elements of thrash and they also take an 80's and 90's style and make it sound more modern and as the album progresses a brief use of clean playing can also be heard and the album closes with a track that is very long and epic in length.
Gravehill creates another recording that remains true to their mixture of black, death and thrash metal from previous releases, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Occultism, Murder, Revenge and Death themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Gravehill and if you are a fan of this band, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bestial Genesis" "Plague Hammer" and "D.I.E". 8 out of 10.
