Italy's OvO have returned with a new recording which shows the music going for an experimental mixture of black, doom, death metal and noise rock and this is a review of their 2022 album "Ignoto" which will b e released in September by Artofact.

A very avant garde sound starts off the album and also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs at times. A great portion of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while black metal screams and whispers are also utilized at times along with the music also having its experimental moments.
Clean playing can also be heard at times while noises and drones can also be heard in certain sections of the recording. Elements of doom metal can also b e heard in the slower sections of the songs along with the bass guitars also adding more heaviness to the songs and death metal growls can also be heard at times.
Some of the drum beats also give the songs more of a tribal atmosphere along with some touches of noise rock also being added on some of the tracks. One track is introduces clear vocals onto the recording and when the music speeds up a small amount of blast beats and tremolo picking can also be heard. The production sounds very dark and heavy while the lyrics cover life and death themes with some sci-fi inspirations.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from OvO and if you are a fan of black, doom metal, experimental and noise, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "La Morte Muore (Part 2)" and "Distillati Di Tenebre (Part 2)". 8 out of 10.
