Nomad are a band from Poland that plays a very blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 ep "Tetramorph" which was released by Witching Hour Productions.
Clean playing and atmospheric sounds start off the ep before going into more of a heavy and brutal direction that also utilizes a great amount of blast beats and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some elements of thrash and the vocals are perfectly balanced between death metal growls and black metal screams.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and some of the riffs bring dark sounding melodies onto the recording and you can also hear elements of modern metal in the bands musical style and as the ep progresses the music gets more atmospheric at times and the last track also brings in a brief use of clean playing as well as a small amount of spoken word parts.
Nomad plays a musical style that takes a brutal style of death metal and mixes it with black metal to create some very dark and heavy music, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are a concept dealing with earth, wind, fire and water.
In my opinion Nomad are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Tetrawind" and "Tetrafire". 8 out of 10.
