The Pete Flesh Deathtrip/Through Dungeons Chapter 1/2017 Single Review

  The  Pete  Flesh  Deathtrip  are  a  band  that  has  had  material  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  blackened  death  metal,  doom  and  thrash  on  this  recording  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2017  single  "Through  Dungeons  Chapter  1"  and  the  2  songs  have different  singers  Rogga  Peterson  of  Merciless  and  Mr.  Dim  of  Harms  Way.

  A  very  heavy  and  dark  black  metal  influenced  sound  starts  off  the  single  along  with  some  death.thrash  style  screams  and  growls  a  few  seconds  later  and  the  riffs  also  bring  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody  while  the  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  melodic  while  also  being  vwery  old  school  at  the  same  time.

  A  great  amount  of  80's  influences  can  be  heard  in  the  songs  while  still  having  a  very  modern  feeling  to  them  and  the  slower  sections  of  the  songs  are  heavily  influenced  by  doom  metal  while  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and clean  vocals  are  added  on  the  second  track

  The  Pete  Flesh  Deathtrip  creates  a  single  that  mixes  black,  doom,  death,  thrash  and  heavy  metal  to  create  something  very  different  than  their  full  lengths,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness  and  occult  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  The  Pete  Flesh  Deathtrip  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  check  out  this  single.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "tHE  tRUE  Salvation".  8  out  of  10;.
