Omega Throne are a band from Liverpool, England that plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2022 ep "There's No Hatred great As Dictator's Love-Prelude To Empire" which will be released towards the end of the year.
Static sounds and political samples start off the ep before going into a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly death metal growls. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in a decent amount of blast beats and black metal elements.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very dark yet melodic style while t he songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. At times the music also gets very brutal sounding along with one song also adding in a brief use of high pitched screams/
Omega Throne plays a style of blackened death metal that is very heavy and brutal sounding. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the violent side of modern politics.
In my opinion Omega Throne are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Cancellation". 8 out of 10.
