Ceremony Of Silence are a band from Slovakia that plays a very atmospheric and blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2024 album "Hálios" which will b e released in July by Willowtip Records.
A very fast and brutal sound starts off the album along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams while melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the music also has its atmospheric moments. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic yet modern style along with one song also introducing clean playing onto the album.
Ceremony Of Silence plays a style of blackened death metal that is very atmospheric and brutal sounding. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the sacred within the temporal world inspired by ancient Indo-European Mythology.
In my opinion Ceremony Of Silence are a very great sounding atmospheric blackened death metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Primaevel Sacrifice" "Moon Vessel" and "King in The Mountain". 8 out of 10.
