Decibel Rebels are a band from Germany that plays a blackened mixture of thrash and speed metal and this is a review of their 2024 ep "Unholy Rites Of Perversions" which was released by Wolfmond Production.
A porn orientated intro starts off the ep before adding in some bass guitar leads and melodic riffing that also takes the music into a heavier direction. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they also remain very true to an old school style and the songs also add in a lot of thrash and speed metal elements.
Vocals are done in more of a first wave black metal style while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of blast beats. Tremolo picking can also be heard in some of the faster riffing along with the tracks also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music is also very heavily rooted in the 80's and 90's era, melodic vocals and back up shouts can also be heard briefly.
Decibel Rebels plays a musical style that takes black, thrash and speed metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover Satanism, Blasphemy, Perversion and Alcohol themes.
In my opinion Decibel Rebels are a very great sounding blackened mixture of thrash and speed metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dead Girls Never Cry" and "Nuclear War". 8 out of 10.
