Insatanity are a band from Florida that has a history that goes back to the 90's and plays a blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their 2020 album "Hymns Of The Gods Before" which was released by CDN Records.
A very heavy and brutal sound starts off the album while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats. Vocals are a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls and they also take an old school style and mixes it with a more modern day brutality.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while a small amount of dark sounding melodies can also be heard in the guitar riffing. The fast riffs also utilize tremolo picking at times along with the death metal growls also having their guttural moments as well as the music also always sticking to a very heavy and brutal musical direction and the album closes with a cover of Deicide's "When Satan Rules His World".
Insatanity plays a musical style that takes black metal and mixes it with brutal death metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Anti Christianity themes.
In my opinion Insatanity are a very great sounding brutal blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Seed Of Baal" "Demons Within Creation" "Cross Of Decption" and "Trail of Terror". 8 out of 10.
