Christrape/Demo I/Blasfemas Records/2019 Demo Review

  Christrape  are  a  band  from Kentucky  that  plays  a  very  satanic  and  old  school  mixture  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2019  demo  which  was  released  by  Blasfemas  Records.

  Amp  sounds  start  off  the  demo  along  with  some  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  a  few  seconds  later.  The  riffs  also  bring  in  a  great  amount  of  first  wave  and  80's  thrash  metal  elements  along  with  a  small  amount  of  melody  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard.

  Tremolo  picking  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  while  the  tracks  also  bring  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  A  touch  of  old  school  death  metal  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  riffing  and  the  demo  always  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction  and  when  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  stick  to  a  very  retro  style  and  the  demo  closes  with  a  cover  of  Slayer's  "Black  Magic".

  Chrisrape  plays  a  musical  style  that  goes  back  to  the  80's  era  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  violence  and  satanism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Christrape  are  a  very  great  sounding  satanic  and  old  school  mixture  of  black,  death  and  thrash  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Satanic  Violence".  8  out  of  10.
