Vizir are a band from Portugal that plays a mixture of black, death metal, grindcore and punk and this is a review of their 2025 album "Caralhograma" which was released by Haloran Records.
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the album while the vocals also add in a mixture of black metal screams and guttural death metal screams. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in a lot of tremolo picking, blast b eats and grindcore elements.
Most of the tracks are also very short in length while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. At times the music also captures the raw energy of punk along with some shouts also being used on a few tracks, melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing as well as some clear singing and samples also being used in certain sections of the album.
Vizir plays a musical style that takes black, death metal, grindcore and punk and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Portuguese and cover degusting behaviors, perversion and anti Christianity themes.
In my opinion Vizir are a very great sounding mixture of black, death metal, grindcore and punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Esporra Podre" "Rituais...Entre as Pernas da Puta" "Rambo Fodas" and "Hino au Cu". 8 out of 10.
